It’s more than half a century since a brand new airplane has been bought by Iran. Since the U.S. sanction have been applied to the Iran’s airline fleet, Iran haven’t been enabled to improve its air fleet and you can’t expect much from its airline such as Mahan Air. Each airline has its own fleet and this is where the difference in the quality of flights shows itself. Stay with us to read more about the best airlines in Iran.
Different Planes in Iran
There are generally two types of airliners in Iran: wide-body and large aircrafts.
Wide-Body Aircrafts
In a typical wide-body airplane, there is enough space to accommodate two passenger aisles with seven to nine seats abreast. This is why it’s also called a two-aisle plane. These planes allow a total capacity of 200 to 850 passengers. The width of wide-body planes is between 5 to 6 meters. Not only they are used as airliners that carry passengers, but they are also used as cargo aircrafts.

Narrow-Body Airliner
As the name tells, these airliners are smaller than wide-body aircrafts and they are something between 3 to 4 meters wide. There’s only one single aisle and seats between two to six people abreast. They have a capacity of 300 passengers and are not used for long distance flights.
